We started our vacation at Woodloch Pines Resort in the Poconos. We "discovered" Woodloch in Parents Magazine, where it was highly regarded as a great place for families. They were right. Although the little girls were probably just a little young to get the full benefit, Melissa really enjoyed it (as did Mom and Dad), and we think we found a place that we'd love to continue to take the family as they (not us) continue to get older.

Woodlock is situated on Lake Teedyuskung. The lake offers various boating activities. We took a tour boat ride around the lake, and did the paddleboats as well. None of us took advantage of the water-skiing, but it was available. There is also a small beach, which Samantha particularly enjoyed -- both in and out of the water. Melissa played beach volleyball a number of times.
